Shortly after White House tours resumed Tuesday, following a near seven-week hiatus during the presidential transition and inauguration, one Alabama school group had an experience political dreams are made of.

During Birmingham’s Briarwood Christian School‘s visit to the West Wing, President Donald Trump dropped by the tour to say a surprise hello.

Sneaking out from behind a partition the president greeted the crowd, which immediately burst into cheers at the sight of the president #45.

Trump called for some of the kids to come over for a photo-op and 10-year-old Jack Cornish, a fifth-grader from Birmingham, Ala. made sure not to miss the opportunity to pose with the commander-in-chief as her ran over to him.

“Work hard, everybody. Work hard,” he told the group of 40-50 students before leaving.

Perhaps ironically, the scene played out right next to the official portrait of former first lady Hillary Clinton, who Trump bested to win the presidency in November.

The tours resumed Tuesday thanks to efforts of First Lady Melania Trump.

“I am excited to reopen the White House to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” Melania  said in a White House statement. “The White House is a remarkable and historic site and we are excited to share its beauty and history.  I am committed to the restoration and preservation of our Nation’s most recognizable landmark.
