Hundreds of people across the state of Alabama participated in March for Our Lives campaign on Saturday.
The protests were organized by young people nationwide to call upon lawmakers to address the issue of gun violence in American schools and implement comprehensive gun control legislation.
- Pass a law to ban the assault weapons frequently used to carry out mass shootings
- Stop the sale of high-capacity magazines, restricting the amount of ammunition
- Close loopholes in America’s background checks and implement laws that require background checks on every gun purchase, including those that occur online or at gun shows

Way more people killed by knives and other cutting weapons than by “assault” rifles. Need to outlaw knives.
Way more people killed by automobiles that by “assault” rifles. Need to outlaw cars.
Way more people killed by getting beat to death than by “assault” rifles. Need to outlaw….
Need to restrict certain types of ammunition.
Need to limit size of magazine to some arbitrary number. If your 22 rifle holds more that 5 rounds in the magazine or tube, need to outlaw it.
Instead of stomping your feet and demanding everyone in America give up their Constitutional rights, maybe you need to retake history class and learn what happens when weapons are banned…
If you don’t like something, change it. But this is a democracy and the rule of law is that majority makes the rules. If and when a Constitutional amendment is made to ban or restrict your given rights, thank the person holding a weapon on the wall to protect YOU.
Happened to see the guards surrounding the marches and demonstrations. Interesting they were carrying “assualt” weapons protecting your right to free speech. Just like my right to bear arms…..
