Jan.7, 2015: I sat down for some interviews this morning with our TV stations back in Alabama. We discussed the priorities of the 114th Congress and how they will impact Southwest Alabama.

Jan. 17, 2015: Ran into some Girl Scouts outside the Lowe’s in Daphne. They didn’t have to try very hard to convince me to buy any cookies. I’m always ready to buy some Thin Mints, my favorite. What Girl Scout cookie is your favorite?

Feb. 12, 2015: Today, Congressman Jason Smith made good on our SEC Championship bet. Since Alabama won, Congressman Smith fed my staff and me some great Missouri BBQ from Dexter BBQ and a huge Apple Pecan Pie from The Blue Owl Restaurant and Bakery. I was a good sport too and introduced Congressman Smith to some Mardi Gras King Cake. Let me just say, I’m not eating much for dinner tonight. Roll Tide!

March 30, 2015: I’m proud to report that my bill to fix the VA Choice Card program has earned the support of the Concerned Veterans for America.

May 4, 2015: There is nothing quite like the joys of being a grandfather! I had a blast taking my grandson MacGuire out for his first boat ride. He already loves being on the water.

Aug.10, 2015: I had a very informative visit to a mobile Iron Dome launcher today. I appreciate the young Israel Defense Forces (IDF) lieutenant for the briefing. The Israelis developed the Iron Dome with our financial and technical support. The Iron Dome is what kept the missiles out of Israel from Gaza last summer.
