The Robert Bentley administration has “no plans” to re-hire former top aide Rebekah Caldwell Mason.
Bentley spokeswoman Yasamie August made the clarification Thursday following a question from a reporter as to whether or not Mason was returning to the Bentley administration.
“She [Mason] has not been rehired by the Bentley Administration since her resignation, and there are no plans to hire her,” August told AL.com via email.
Mason resigned following a scandal that stemmed from a recording of sexually charged conversations between Bentley and Mason going public earlier this year.
