After two and half years serving as Alabama 6th District U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer’s Communications Director, Cate Cullen has moved on to a new and exciting opportunity.

She will now be working as the Manager of Strategic Communications for the Cruise Lines International Association.

“After two and a half years filled with memorable experiences serving as Congressman Palmer’s Communications Director, it is time for me to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and hello to a new and exciting opportunity as the Manager of Strategic Communications for the Cruise Lines International Association,” Cullen wrote in a goodbye note to her colleagues.

She had worked in Palmer’s office in February 2016 where she served as the senior communications adviser and spokeswoman for the Congressman and the Office. There, she led management and response of crisis communications, wrote press releases, statements, and editorial pieces, among other tasks.

Before joining Palmer’s office, the Birmingham, Ala.-native was the Press Assistant Company for the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security.
