Alabama Media Group is getting a new Vice President of Content.
Veteran newsroom leader Kelly Ann Scott will being taking the helm of the operations of AL.com, Reckon by AL.com and other social channels starting in mid-July based in Birmingham.
The Reno Gazette Journal Executive Editor, which is part of the USA Today Network, began her journalism career in 1998. She’s worked in newsrooms across the country: in North Dakota, Minnesota and Nevada.
“Kelly’s passion for local news and her record of successful experimentation and community leadership will help us continue to serve our Alabama readers hungry for news and analysis on AL.com, Reckon by AL.com and in state’s three leading newspapers,” company president Tom Bates said.
