The Alabama Senate Tuesday passed SJR4, which sought to “most highly commend” the University of Alabama football team on winning the 2015 National Football Championship game in January.
The resolution, which was unanimously resolved by both Houses, states that the Crimson Tide “showed incredible resourcefulness and resilience” in its 16th championship victory and earned “the right to be proclaimed the number one football team in the nation.” Citing that the victory “was truly a team effort.” A copy of the resolution will be presented to the university for display.
