Arlington National Cemetery, Memorial Day 2016.

On this upcoming Memorial Day,

Take a moment to stop and pray.

Reflect on what it means,

To live in a land where freedom rings.

Never forget those who paid the price,

And made the ultimate sacrifice.

They answered their country’s call,

Even if it meant they would fall.

They fought on land, and air, and sea,

So that you and I could live free.

They fought for the greater good,

And joined an elite brotherhood.

They died for what they believed was right,

So we could sleep in peace at night.

They gave their all, they gave their best,

Now laid in the ground for eternal rest.

Though we may never know every name,

Their sacrifice will never be in vain.

May we as a nation always remember,

Each and every fallen service member.
