President Donald Trump is scheduled to announce his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court from the Oval Office Tuesday evening.
The nominee to the nation’s highest court, if confirmed, will replace conservative justice Antonin Scalia, who died almost a year ago in February 2016.
Federal judges Neil Gorsuch of Colorado and Thomas Hardiman of Pennsylvania, considered to be finalists, are coming to Washington, D.C. for the announcement, according to CNN. Another appeals court judge, William Pryor of Alabama, is also said to be on Trump’s high-court short list.
Rumors have circulated throughout Tuesday that 49-year old Gorsuch is Trump’s pick.
