Just days ahead of the Alabama runoff election, President Donald Trump’s former Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired back against the president’s latest insults of him, calling his choice of words, “juvenile.”
“I’ve taken the road less travelled. Not sought fame or fortune. My honor and integrity are far more important than these juvenile insults. Your scandal ridden candidate is too cowardly to debate. As you know, Alabama does not take orders from Washington,” Sessions tweeted.

Sessions tweet was in response to Trump’s own, where he called on his supporters to throw their support to Tommy Tuberville, the former Auburn University football coach, claiming Sessions was “a disaster who let us all down.”
“Big Senate Race in Alabama on Tuesday,” tweeted Trump. “Vote for @TTuberville, he is a winner who will never let you down. Jeff Sessions is a disaster who has let us all down. We don’t want him back in Washington!

Sessions will face Tuberville in Alabama’s GOP primary runoff on Tuesday, July 14. The winner will become the Republican nominee and go on to face Democrat U.S. Sen. Doug Jones in the general election in November.
